It would be useful to have something like a ‘move items’ service, where one could specify particular items to move from one existing package to another.

Given that the shipping options for many countries have been limited, and the fact that FedEx and DHL have various restrictions, it would be helpful if certain items in one package could be moved to a different package so a different shipping method can be used. Rather than having to submit a split request to separate the items, then a consolidation request to put them in the other package, it would be easier (and save time service-wise, as no new package would need to be created) to have a single step for this.

In general, this could also be helpful for when one has added an item or two to a shipment in order to qualify for the merchant’s shipping discount, but does not necessarily want to ship those particular items together in the same package for the international leg. Creating a split request here would be rather redundant as it would make more sense to use another existing package than to create a new one for just one or two items.
